The Research Office in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences seeks to assist faculty, staff, and learners in their research activities. Please see below for key resources that may be of assistance.
For additional information or assistance, please contact Nicole Sloss, Manager, AFP and Research, Alison Kerkhof, Administrative Assistant, AFP and Research, or one of the Associate Co-Chairs Research: Dr. Harriet MacMillan / Dr. Margaret McKinnon.
Review of Grant Applications
The Research Office is pleased to facilitate formal review of grant applications. This service is not mandatory and is available to those faculty members interested in having their grants reviewed.
The process for review will be as follows. If you are interested in having an upcoming grant reviewed, please indicate this interest to the Research Office via Alison Kerkhof well in advance of the submission deadline. When expressing this interest, please feel free to suggest potential reviewers, including internal faculty members and external experts whom you feel would likely be willing to review your grant. We are also pleased to generate a list of potential internal reviewers for the grant. The Research Office will then reach out to potential reviewers to secure their assistance. This process may take several days, depending on reviewer availability.
Once an initial draft of your grant is complete, please submit this draft to the Research Office. Please note that reviewers will require at least 10 days to complete their reviews, hence, it is important that grants be submitted well in advance of submission deadlines.
If you have any questions about this process, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
