Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Residency Program

Application Deadline: ​September 1, 2020

The Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Sub-specialty Program at McMaster University, consistent with the Royal College requirements, is two years. The intention is for residents to enter this program as PGY5’s and complete it with a PGY6 year. Residents are asked to apply in the year prior to their anticipated entry.

The Department of Psychiatry is calling for Applications to the Child and Adolescent Sub-specialty Program for entry beginning July 2021. 

Applications for the Child and Adolescent Subspecialty Program are due ​September 1 2020

You must complete the PGME Application Form​, along with the following supportive documents.

1) Updated CV
2) Letter of intent 
3) Letter of good standing from current residency program director 
4) Three reference letters with contact information

All current PGY4 or 5 residents are eligible to apply to the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Subspecialty Program.

In addition to McMaster’s Children Hospital and the Offord Centre for Child Studies, we have a variety of community children’s mental health agencies and affiliated hospitals.

The Division offers an extraordinary breadth and depth of clinical experiences with excellent, dedicated supervisors and teachers.
