Postgraduate Psychiatry Residency Training

The McMaster Psychiatry Postgraduate Program prepares residents to be outstanding general psychiatrists, while allowing learners to individualize their training to pursue career interests including clinical specialty areas, research, education and administration.  With a large faculty to student ratio and access to a tremendous variety of clinical programs and research endeavours, McMaster residents have the opportunity to train with individual attention.

At McMaster we are extremely proud to offer programs in two campuses: the Hamilton Campus and the Waterloo Regional Campus, each with its own unique features but with access to both for all residents. Residents with strong research interests are also able to apply for the McMaster Clinician Investigator Program (CIP). This may be done through the CaRMS match or later in residency.
