Jennifer Ford

Bio

Dr. Ford is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences at McMaster and Psychiatrist at the Hamilton General Hospital, Medical Psychiatry service, East Region Mental Health services and West Niagara Mental Health services at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Grimsby, Ontario.

Dr. Ford completed Psychiatry residency training at McMaster in 2014. Prior to entering medicine, she was a Speech Language Pathologist at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton. Her main areas of clinical interest are Consultation Liaison Psychiatry, Emergency Psychiatry and psychopharmacology.

Dr. Ford also has an interest in post-graduate education and mentorship. She has particular interests in the transition to practice in psychiatry, work-life balance in women psychiatrists, and mentorship. She is currently involved in developing a formal mentorship program at McMaster for residents and faculty.
