Akintan, Alobe

Bio

Dr. Olabode Akintan is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences at McMaster University and the Medical Director of the Child and Youth Mental Health Inpatient Program and the Child and Youth Mental Health Emergency Services (CHYMES).  He completed his psychiatric fellowship and residency training at the Sheppard Pratt Psychiatry Residency Program, University of Maryland.  He joined the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences at McMaster in 2008.  In 2015 he was conferred two MBA degrees from Johnson School of Management , Cornell University and Smith School of Business, Queens University.

His clinical work includes responsibility for the Child and Youth Mental Health Inpatient Unit and Day Program, consulting to the McMaster Children’s Hospital and family physicians as part of the Child and Youth Mental Health Program.
