Bio

I am a clinical psychologist by training. I was in the Departments of Psychiatry and of Clinical Epidemiology & Biostatistics at McMaster between 1968 and 1998. I then became the Vice President of Research and the founding director of the Kunin-Lunenfeld Applied Research Unit at Baycrest Hospital, and a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto for 10 years. At the current time, I work part-time at both McMaster University and the University of Toronto, and am the senior editor of Health Reports, published by Statistics Canada. I have written or edited 9 books and published approximately 400 articles, mostly in the areas of statistics, research methodology, scale development, and psychiatric epidemiology.
